Man Broke Into Taylor Swift’s Home, Took Off Shoes To Be ‘Polite’: Police


WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) — Police say a person who broke into Taylor Swift’s beachfront mansion in Rhode Island took his footwear off as a result of he needed to be well mannered.

Westerly police who responded to the house simply after 5 p.m. Friday discovered 26-year-old Richard Joseph McEwan inside.

Police Chief Shawn Lacey tells The Westerly Solar the Milford, New Jersey man wasn’t carrying footwear. When requested why, he mentioned he was all the time taught to take his footwear off when coming into somebody’s house to be well mannered.
